COVID-19 Class Guidelines

We are committed to providing a safe gym environment.  Our classes will be capped to meet the guidelines set by the City of Milwaukee.  We ask all members to follow these guidelines.

Class Guidelines:

  1. Reserve your class prior to class.  If you are not reserved, you may not attend class. If you need to cancel, do so asap so that people have time to reserve the open spot.
  2. Try to limit the amount of outside items you bring into the gym that cannot fit into a cubby or small locker.
  3. Check yourself in in Zen Planner on your phone upon arrival.
  4. Wash or sanitize your hands upon entering the gym.
  5. Follow general walking paths to get to your workout section.  Maintain 6 ft social distancing.  Be aware of your surroundings and be respectful towards others throughout your session.
  6. Attempt to stay in your designated area for the warm up, strength WOD and workout.
  7. During the workout, you may need to stagger your movements to maintain social distancing guidelines.  For example you may need to wait to go to your assigned equipment if you can’t maintain distancing at the same time.
  8. Clean your equipment and wipe the floor. Put equipment away as instructed by your coach.
  9. Log your workout scores in BTW on your phone.
  10. Wash your hands prior to leaving.

What to do if you test positive for COVID-19

  • If you are not feeling well, even if you aren’t sure (you know that feeling!), we ask that you don’t attend the gym.  Symptoms for COVID-19 are varied and staying home when you have the slightest inkling that you may be sick will help stop the spread.
  • If you test positive, email and let us know when symptoms developed and when you tested positive.
  • We will use the information provided to review your attendance history and email notification to others that were in the same (classes) as you to take the necessary precautions based upon their risk of exposure, history, and advice from their physicians.  We protect privacy and do not release your name unless given permission to do so in the event someone would like to know who in order to determine their exposure risk.
  • Testing and test results are rapidly available turned around in as little as 1 to 2 days.  So we encourage people to take advantage of this in order to help stop the community spread.

Basic hygiene and other important notes:

  • If you are not feeling well, even if you aren’t sure (you know that feeling!), we ask that you don’t attend the gym.
  • Coughing or sneezing – try to contain the cough/sneeze by facing away from others and doing so completely in your elbow or in a toweling or your shirt, etc.  Wash or sanitize your hands afterwards.
  • Avoid touching your face, especially your eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • To keep hands clean after washing, use toweling to dry your hands and then use to turn off the faucet.
  • Chalk will not be provided / shared.  Members are encouraged to bring their own chalk and keep it contained in a plastic bag to prevent airborne moisture from being absorbed into the chalk.
  • Make every attempt to not touch things you will not be using.
  • Athletes will not be expected to share equipment.
  • Consider bringing in a clean towel or yoga mat if you don’t want to touch the floor for movements such as push ups for burpees.
  • Lockers will be reserved for those with unlimited memberships (subject to availability).  Your lockers must be labeled with your name.  Items may not be left in the gym if they are not in a labeled locker.
