One of my biggest passions is being an Obstacle Course Race athlete and CrossFit is the backbone to my training. I compete in Spartan, Tough Mudder, BattleFrog, GORUCK, and any other OCR I can find. The Spartan race is my favorite and I will be going for my third Trifecta this year. I am also a runner and do multiple 5K, 10K, and half marathons throughout the year. I charge any CrossFit athlete who has never done a Spartan or long distance OCR to give it a shot and see how much of an impact CrossFit has on their performance in a race!

When an athlete says “there is no way I can do that,” I love to disprove that notion and show how that goal can be reached. No matter your age, size, or ability, there is a place for YOU in the CrossFit community.
I am a big advocate of proper technique and safety and am not hesitant to scale properly scale accordingly. Scaling is great for working towards a more difficult movement, but scaling is also important to prevent injury due to limitation. After 8 years of playing Rugby in the Air Force and Milwaukee, I have multiple injuries that limit my ability to perform certain movements. By utilizing rational in weight, intensity, and functional movement, I scale accordingly to maintain progression while minimizing potential for injury. The only person you need to impress is yourself, that’s all I need to say about that!
