Hi there! Mine is not a typical CrossFit coach story. I did not play competitive sports in high school or college. I tried a few different things like Couch 2 5K and countless hours on an elliptical machine before finding Cream City CrossFit in summer 2013. Fast forward several years, I didn’t have to think twice about joining in with 20 of my friends to save our gym by forming a co-op.

Although I’m not the strongest or fastest athlete at the gym, I’ve always made myself approachable to new joiners and never shied away from explaining the workout or giving cues – everyone starts somewhere. So when the co-op Board of Directors approached members to become coaches, again, I didn’t hesitate to give back to the community that has given so much to me.

Since becoming a coach, I’ve really enjoyed helping athletes of all shapes and sizes realize the amazing things their bodies are capable of doing through CrossFit. No matter your fitness level, there is always something new to learn and improve upon as both coach and athlete.
